there exists only one thing that glides through my mind
a solitary phantasm in my Sight
A wish/to break apart
to separate
to Dream

I wish you could possess everything I want to give you
& then maybe perfection wouldn't be such a nightmare
I want the sky to break apart into many yellow pieces
& together, your hand in mine, I want to fly through the cracks it left behind

you blink your eyes at me
as if to ask a million questions I don't want to answer
because I'm the kind of person who exists not in reality
but in the fake

In the past, there's always been a smile on your face
as you watched me romp around my elaborately constructed playground
sometimes you'd even play with me

but I think
that as long as I have you
I can last a little while longer without it
before my faerie wings are clipped
